Recently, we had a client reach out to us about part # WPD136M6C-001 in regards to setting up a BCD996XT scanner. They were looking to see if that specific antenna could be used with a base magnet or a bracket? Firstly, I’d like to start off by explaining that BCD996XT is capable of scanning a range of frequencies from 2 MHz to 1300 MHz (see below). In the past, we’ve had a client express his interests in our mounting accessories for part # TRA6927M3NB-001. He wanted to be able to post the antenna to a stainless box and wanted our suggestions regarding the issue. Do we have something to alleviate this problem? Yes, we do! A customer wanted to know what antenna they could install utilizing an NMO mount that would connect to a Kentwood NX-800k radio, a radio similar to our MPLCJ8. Our recommendations for antenna: B4505CNS: This Laird antenna is a chrome 32 inch UHF whip antenna that doesn’t need a ground plane. It also features a spring base for bumpy roads.
