RFID Circular Polarization. Left Hand (LHCP) vs. Right Hand (RHCP) When to use both?
Posted by Michael Crudele on
There is no use case where Right-Hand Circular Polarization is better, or preferred to, Left-Circular Circular Polarization. When a UHF RFID reader “fires” it’s antennas, it does so in series |

Antenna Similar to Alien’s ALR8696-C
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Recently a client approached us about the Alien part # ALR8696-C. They were developing new software and need an antenna that utilized LHCP (left-hand circular polarization), which part # ALR8696-C does not. In response, I have come up with two suggestions, both of which come in LH and RH circular polarizations. Suggestion 1 RCPL-902-09-SNF: This antenna measures in at 10 x 10 inches and features a gain of 9 dBic, a fixed N-Female connector, and an IP rating of 67. Suggestion 2 RCPL-902-8-RTM-8: This antenna is the industry standard for passive UHF VHF RFID installations. It measures in...

Times-7 Universal Mounting Plate
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Recently, a client reached out to us to question whether or not we sell/ stock the Times-7 Universal Mounting Plate 71757 for A5010 and A5020’s. Fortunately, we do offer the Times-7 mounting plate 71757, but we aren’t currently promoting the product. Customers have informed us that they prefer NOT to use adhesive mounts for Times-7 antennas, therefore we’d like to suggest the proper mounting plates and bracket combinations... A5010-60003: IP67 rated circularly polarized panel antenna that measures in at 10 x 10 inches. It offers 8.5 dBic, excellent aesthetics, and an FCC frequency of 902-928 MHz. It has a fixed side...

10” Antenna for EU Use
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Recently, a client approached us about a 10” antenna that could be used in the EU area, so we have a few suggestions… 10 x 10-inch Flush Mount, R8658-LPF-SSF: A circularly polarized ETSI outdoor RFID antenna from RFMAX that measures in at 10 x 10 inches. It operates at 8.5 dBic and is one of the best choices for a low profile, IP67 rated passive UHF RFID application in the ETSI band of 865-868 MHz. Due to its high IP rating, and it can be used outdoors without much of a problem! It comes with a standard SMA-Female connector...

Antenna Similar to Zebra AN610
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Q) Is there another brand or antenna similar to the Zebra AN610 that has a similar bolt pattern and connector? A) At Arcadian Inc. we sell an equivalent to the Zebra AN610 that goes by the part # A6031-70810 made by Times-7. I would just like to inform you that this part # has a different connector than the Zebra AN610’s N-female so we offer different adapters for your application needs. Our Times-7 part # A6031-70810 uses a cable with a SMA-Female connector, so to benefit you we also offer a SMA female to N male adapter. The adapter...
