Recently, we have had several customer come to us looking for advice on how to replace their Cuddeback Cuddelink Trailcam antennas, and/or how to improve range with better antennas. Below you will find our recommendations on how to maximize performance of your Cuddeback Cuddelink Trailcam by upgrading antennas.
First of all, if you have broken any of your basic Cuddeback Cuddelink Trailcam antennas, and simply need to replace them, the best antenna for that is the RFMAX # RDA698/2700-1-RSM. If you are looking to IMPROVE performance of your Cuddeback Cuddelink Trailcam, then you should be using TWO of the “single” antenna kits, and mount one to each side of the tree for your dual cellular connections. This configuration should optimize your cellular reception for uploading pictures to your phone or Cudde portal.
In addition, you can use ONE of these same kits for the camera to camera antenna on the side, which operates at 900 MHz This antenna is used for communicating between the remote cameras.
