“I bought these replacement bases for Laird magnetic mount Antennas for our railroad locomotive. They matched up exactly with what I was looking for and the antenna gets great reception.”

“Had a little trouble getting the PL-259 ground wire through thr holes to solder for good contact. The antenna ground gave a worse SWR reading when I included the rubber gasket normally used with the vertical antennas I used. When adjusting the antenna length with the magnetic base placed on a metal file cabinet the SWR was broader then it was when placed on the roof of my vehicle.”
